    Hi all,
I am not yet a 5 string banjo player, I play ukulele and banjolele.
Therefore I wonder what the difference (apart length of neck) will be. Mainly in handling or also very different in sound? Are there sound clips on YouTube with both banjos?

I came over from uke and banjolele because I wanted the sound difference that I felt an additional string would give me. And the transition was easy for me. Now I have 3 different carver banjos all with 22 inch scale. I like the short scale length because it fits me best (im short lol). And you can visit my YouTube channel to hear them compared to my ukes and my standard length Deering Banjo.

I think Brian’s instruments sound wonderful. I use Aquila Red Series strings and really love the sound. I’m sure you will not be disappointed whatever you choose.

No, but here is the link on Amazon

I’ve never had problems with breakage and I play daily and they last for months before I feel they need replaced. I do take my time tuning them up, but slow and steady wins the race. I even put them on my 26¼ standard length banjo w success. No breaks.
