Howdy y’all,
I’ve just purchased a lovely Carver banjo assembly kit and I can’t wait to get started.
However, I am a beginner banjo player and whilst I love the sound of a fretless neck, I wonder if it might be worth creating a “faux” fret when staining it, so I have some visual queues as to where my fingers need to be.
Does anyone have a blueprint for a banjo fret board that I could transcribe onto my fretless neck and then stain over? I’m hoping to essentially create lighter lines where the frets should be. Maybe later on when I’m better at the banjo I can restain it and get rid of the lines.
