I’ve made a few partially scalloped neck banjos in the past and they played very well so I’ve decided to take it a step further. This may be the only fully scalloped minstrel banjo in existence. The scallops function almost the same as frets but allow the expressive nature of a fretless fingerboard to shine through. You can “fret” full chords and they will ring true. Also, fret slots are cut into the fingerboard and filled with a contrasting wood filler for further visual aid on the fret positions.
One of a kind banjo, you’ll never see another like it.
