    Needing some experienced help here.

Should there be this much of a gap where the neck should meet the rim?

This is with the neck attached to the internal brace (what I received was a flattened brace, not a dowel as I’ve seen in most videos) and the other end of the brace flush with the inside of the rim where it should be screwed in (haven’t done that yet).

Do I need to sand that much off? I’m not sure I have the tools to do that smoothly without changing the angle of the brace end.

That’s a normal gap. The neck does not need to touch the rim there, plus you’ll have the skin on the rim. No worries!
You received the square dowel as shown on the listing. I don’t make or sell the kits with the round dowels anymore but the assembly videos can still be helpful 🙂

Thank you! Just making sure before I went further. Most appreciated!
