Black Walnut Mountain Banjo

This is my take on the famous Foxfire mountain banjos. Very similar in construction and size; this is an extremely playable folk instrument.
I developed a special process to add pigment to the goat skin head for this banjo. The semi-transparent skin matches the walnut wood in color and hue. Not only does the drumhead stand out with its unique coloration, but so does the neck and body. The grain is curly and flamed in some places with swirls of purple and orange over the rich brown. It was a pleasure to build and play this beautiful instrument- make it yours today.
